Swamp Sessions Songwriter Retreats for 2020 are
Jan 24-26, Feb 21-23, &
Fall of 2020 session to be announced soon as possible, so reservations apply. All reservations for March event (postponed by COVID-19) will be honored.
Our theme This session is “Recognizing Authenticity”
Come willing to connect with your songwriting/story telling potential. Learn new skills to express your stories. This happens in an amazing wilderness area on 100 acres in the Francis Marion National Forest, where new writers and experienced ones work with me and themselves.
Take the workshops, de-compress and return to grounded self-expression. Experience you being you in the nurturing, natural setting of the Swamp House, nestled in the Francis Marion National Forest.
I am your instructor, Danielle Howle. You will have an amazing experience and connect with your musical and storytelling self. The beat making workshop will be led by hip-hop artist Cody Dixon of Soul Power Productions. Our recording engineer Andrew Higdon will be on the ready to document your work as needed. If you have incomplete songs, or ones you may not feel are ready for the recording process, Cody and I are here to help you get those ready. This is a unique opportunity, as most workshops do not provide a staff recording engineer. You will walk away with quality, multi-track demos that you can have or continue working on.
No pressure friends! Let's work on words and music and have fun! It doesn't matter if you play an instrument or not. Songs and instrumentation will happen!
All my best,
Danielle Howle
